COOPER COLE is pleased to announce a solo exhibition featuring the work of American artist, Chris Duncan.
Chris Duncan’s current work focus’ on interpretations of light, reflection and perception. With minimalist gestures, he creates situations that hinge on the balance of colored light and shadow, calling attention to recognizable forms- a record cover, the sun, a strip of molding, as platforms for his investigations.
Chris Duncan (b. 1974 in Perth Amboy, USA) is a recent graduate from the Master of Fine Arts program at Stanford University. Duncan has exhibited at the Halsey McKay Gallery, East Hampton, NY; Morgan Lehman Gallery, New York, NY; Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY; Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, Sonoma, CA; Berkeley Art Museum, Berkeley, CA and the Kemper Art Museum, St Louis, MO. Duncan is currently living and working in Oakland, USA.
