Rachelle Sawatsky

Rachelle Sawatsky (b. 1983, Richmond, British Columbia, Canada) received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Vancouver, Canada in 2005 and her Master of Fine Arts from USC – Roski School of Fine Arts, Los Angeles, USA in 2013. She has exhibited across Canada at National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa; Vancouver Art Gallery, Artspeak Gallery, Model Projects, Vancouver; Diaz Contemporary, Toronto, Canada. She has also exhibited internationally at 356 Mission Road, Night Gallery, Del Vaz Projects, China Art Objects, Harmony Murphy Gallery, Artist Curated Projects, Arturo Bandini, Finley Gallery, Los Angeles, USA; Material Art Fair, Mexico City, Mexico; Tate St. Ives, St. Ives, United Kingdom; Or Gallery, Berlin, Germany. Sawatsky was finalist of the 2013 RBC Canadian Painting Competition. She was recently artist in residence at Banff Center for Arts and Creativity, Alberta, Canada, and artist in residence at Griffin Projects, Vancouver, Canada. She has a forthcoming solo show at Franz Kaka, Toronto, CanadaSawatsky currently lives and works in Los Angeles, USA and Vancouver, Canada.
