Les Ramsay (b. 1976, Vancouver, Canada) received his BFA in visual arts from Emily Carr University, Vancouver in 2007 and his MFA in Painting from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in 2015. Ramsay creates art that is rooted in methods of formal abstraction and material process that develop from both inside and outside the studio. His work has been exhibited at such spaces as galerie Antoine Ertaskiran, Division Gallery, Montreal; COOPER COLE, Toronto; Sunset Terrace, Vancouver, Canada; Kinderhook & Caracas, Berlin, Germany; and KRETS Gallery, Malmo, Sweden. Ramsay currently lives and works in Montreal, Canada.
