Davida Nemeroff (b. 1981, Montreal, Quebec, Canada) works in photography, video, and installation. In her practice, Nemeroff photographs from life and then incorporates those images into larger compositions and installations. The content of the photographs stem from a restrained subjective palette that considers the human form in relationship to animals. Conceptually, her work explores the possibility of transference within documentation, in particular around the positionality of women in space. By extension, her works also reflect the formal pathology at the centre of modernist photography.

Nemeroff received her BFA from Ryerson University in 2004 and her MFA from Columbia University in 2009. Her work has been exhibited at galleries and museums throughout the US and Canada including 8-11, Toronto (2016); Cooper Cole, Toronto (2015); Gavin Brown Enterprise, New York (2013); Leroy Neiman Gallery at Columbia University, New York (2012); Gallery TPW, Toronto (2011); Torrence Art Museum, Torrence (2011); Workspace, Los Angeles (2010); and Paul Petro Contemporary Art, Toronto (2008). Nemeroff founded Night Gallery in Los Angeles in 2010 and partnered with Mieke Marple in 2011. She also is co-chair and co-founder of Sexy Beast, a biannual benefit for Planned Parenthood in Los Angeles. Nemeroff currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California, USA.
